The Last Two Large-Group Weeks of Summer 2027

Got a big family? A lot of friends? A group chat that has been saying “we should all go somewhere together” for the last five years?

We’re down to our last two summer weeks in 2027 with enough cabin availability to accommodate a larger group (View full 2027 availability).

  (A quick note on August: not all of our August 2027 dates have been released for online booking yet. So if the week you’re looking for doesn’t appear available, don’t panic and don’t give up. Give us a call. We may have options that aren’t showing online yet.)

Both weeks also include something that doesn’t happen very often: Cabin 10 is still available.

Cabin 10 is one of the most special cabins at Wambolts. It’s our historic former dining hall, with lots of room to gather, spread out, play games, eat together and generally serve as home base for a week at the lake.

For a family reunion or friends trip, that makes a big difference.

Instead of trying to squeeze everyone into one giant rental, your group can build a stay with a mix of Wambolts cabins at different sizes, price points and amenities. Some have AC. Some are perfect for couples. Others give families more bedrooms and room to spread out.

Everyone gets their own space, but you’re still all together.

And that’s really the magic of a Wambolts week.

Kids running between cabins. Cousins at the beach. Morning coffee on the porch. Fishing before breakfast. Big shared dinners. Campfires that go later than planned. Plenty of time together, with enough space to disappear for a nap when you need one.

We also know some families are unexpectedly looking for a new place to continue long-standing summer traditions because a resort they loved has closed or changed hands. That can feel like losing more than a vacation spot. It can feel like losing part of your family history.
